CLOSING DOWN

 It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. I moved back to Delhi 21 years ago and have been operating the Quarter Moon Cafe (Catskill Smokehouse as it’s been come to be known) since. During that time I have seen many ups and downs and changes take place in the industry. One thing that has been a constant though has been people’s desire to work and the availability to find enough staff. Things have changed this year in ways that I have never seen. Despite advertising for months we have not been able to find a full staff of experienced people. I applaud the effort of my staff that has showed up and has worked long hours. And, to the beginners that have done their best and performed well beyond their years.

On a personal level, my baby girl is flying the coup next month. She graduated high school and will be studying in Mexico as a Rotary Exchange student for a year. I want to spend as much time with her before I’m unable to see her for a very long time. This limits my availability to continually cover shifts and work seven days a week.

At this point I am sad to announce that Catskill Smokehouse will not be reopening this weekend. If circumstances change then we will certainly reconsider as the “backyard” will remain in place. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN COMING TO THE SMOKEHOUSE TO ENJOY BBQ! HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON.

Catering

We are available to host parties in the Smokehouse backyard if you’d like. We also can cater events at your place. Custom menus or BBQ available.

BBQ is Still Available

Our smoked meats and fish are available at Good Cheap Food. The store is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 - 6:00.

Gift Cards

If you have restaurant gift cards, they can be redeemed for any of our products. Please email jonah@quartermooncafe.com to make arrangements.
